The Company's work has been hailed by The New York Times as “visionary in its simple affirmation of the magic of art and the human spirit”, and by The Village Voice as “marvelous and deeply thoughtful.”
Hilary Easton + Company will next perform in NYC in October, 2010 at The Baryshnikov Arts Center. The company opened the 2009 92nd Street Y-Harkness Dance Festival at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, February, 2009. Other recent engagements include Simon's Rock College (February, 2009), The Danspace Project
at St. Mark's Church (May, 2008), Mount Tremper Arts (August, 2008), The Clark Theater/Lincoln Center Institute (July + October, 2008, March, 2009), Symphony Space (April, 2007), and The Duke Theater (June, 2007).
The company was the recipient of the Paul Taylor Fellowship, and has been honored with grants from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, The Mertz Gilmore Foundation, The Jerome Foundation, The Harkness Foundation for Dance, The Bossak-Heilbron Foundation, The Maxine Greene Foundation for Social Imagination, the Arts, and Education, Meet The Composer, and The Manhattan Community Arts Fund.
